Experience the mighty Ayeyarwaddy River and its quaint villages, rarely visited by foreigners. Observe the rare Irrawaddy Dolphin in their natural habitat and learn about this fascinating animal.
The next two days will be spent cruising and making some shore excursions along the way, learning about local cottage industries, fishing techniques and ways of life.
We travel upstream to Kyayk Myaung town and explore near by pottery village of Sein Phaw Kone and search for the endangered round nosed Irrawaddy dolphins that are often seen in this part of the river.
The fresh water Irrawaddy dolphins live in small colonies and are known to have friendly relations with local fishermen assisting and chasing fish to the their nets. This is off the beaten trails adventure with modest comforts on the boat.
