This journey is a great combination of cultural highlights of Myanmar and adventure trekking in remote Chin State and Mt Victoria (Natma Taung) National Park. Chin State is one of the hidden gems of Myanmar. Its friendly people and beautiful nature were long isolated with special region travel restrictions that have been recently removed.

The tour begins in Mandalay where we explore the highlights last royal capital of Burma. From Mandalay we continue to Bagan one of the greatest kingdoms of its time in Asia, where thousands of ancient pagoda and temple structures remain in an open plain by the Irrawaddy River. From Bagan we travel to Chin state and Mindat town, the starting point of our trekking expedition for the Chin Hills. During the trek we will sleep in the local villages and have the opportunity learn about ethnic Chin culture, traditions and facial tattoos. We trek through Nat Ma Taung National Park and climb to the summit of Mt Victoria 3180m. After stop in Kanpetlet town we drive back to Bagan by car and fly to Yangon.

We learn how Bagan’s famous lacquer ware crafts are produced in Myingaba village, and then visit Htilominlo temple to learn how Burmese sand paintings are created. The day’s temple tour ends with a visit to the beautifully symmetric and majestic Ananda temple with its four standing Buddha images that seem to gaze at the viewer with fixed serenity wherever the viewer stands.
