5 days of island hopping adventure to Mergui Archipelago will take you on a journey to some of the most amazing spots of the archipelago and is great value for money. Our island safari boat facilities are simple yet functional. These cruises are suitable for people who are adventurous, easy going and don’t mind sharing facilities and sleeping in open space with canvas dividers and mosquito nets. You have a chance to meet the local “sea-gypsies” that still live traditional and semi nomadic life on these islands.
You will be among the very few privileged visitors to the pristine Mergui (Myeik) archipelago of 800 islands, which was only recently opened for foreigners after decades of isolation. There are not many places in the world like this
Route Take you to: Kawthaung – 115 – Nyaung Wee – Bo Cho – Lampi – Pilar – Hlaing Gu – Zar Det Nge & Salon Islands
DAY 1: KAWTHAUNG – THE THREE ISLETS (115 ISLAND)
Your guide will meet you at the airport/ pier in Kawthaung and transfer you to your boat for check in. Along the way, observe the bustling border town. If you are interested and if time permits, you may take part in a short sightseeing tour (optional).
Stroll through the lively market near the Jetty, visit the famous Victoria Point, the most southern tip of Myanmar’s mainland, photo stop at the King Bayint Naung statue.
Visit the Pyi Daw Aye Pagoda with scenic views across the river to Ranong and finish the tour with a short drive through the fishermen settlements on the out skirts of the town.
- Overnight: cruise to The Three Islets (115 Island)
DAY 2: 115 ISLAND – NYAUNG WEE – BO CHO AND LAMPI ISLAND
Wake up with a stunning view at The Three Islets (115 Island). After breakfast, swim and snorkel with tons of fishes through the crystal-clear water. Later follow our guide through the lush tropical jungle to a small beach, where you can find a lot of beautiful shells swapped in from the ocean.
Before Lunch cruise to Nyaung Wee Island and visit the Moken Village. During lunchtime we will cruise to the largest sea gypsy settlement in the area on Bo Cho Island. Be prepared to get surrounded by curious kids.
Bring some small gifts and be even more overwhelmed by their warm welcome. Walk through the village and take scenic pictures from the Pagoda located on the hill overlooking the entire village. Chill-out on board and observe the daily life of the almost extinct sea-gypsies. Cruising to Lampi Island (if time and tide okay visit the mangrove forest). Do some night fishing.

DAY 3: LAMPI – TAR YAR – KO PHAWT & PILAR ISLAND
Early morning kayaking along the mangrove forest or snorkeling / swimming /beach time. Cruising north to Tar Yar Island kayaking, swimming, snorkeling, beach. Cruising between Ko Phawt Island and Lampi Island for another mangrove forest, beach etc. Cruising in the early evening south to Pilar Island.
- Overnight: at Iguana Bay.
DAY 4: PILAR – HLAING GU – ZAR DET NGE & SALON ISLAND
Early morning Iguana Bay. Departure around 09:00 am to High Rock(Hlaing Gu Island), swimming, visiting Island, Kayaking, Snorkeling. Continue to Zar Det Nge Island. Snorkeling, Kayaking etc. Continue to Salon Island. BBQ dinner on boat.
- Overnight: onboard nearby Salon Island.
DAY 5: SALON ISLAND – KAWTHAUNG
Wake up, after breakfast cruising to Kawthaung. Disembark MV Sea Gipsy and transfer to the Kawthaung airport.

About VISA Procedures
For guests which are entering and leaving Kawthaung/Myanmar from Ranong / Thailand do not have to apply for a visa at the Myanmar Embassy. You are able to get a special visa for the duration of the trip in Kawthaung. Just make sure to bring 40$ and two passport pictures along. Discovery DMC local support team will take care of the process in Kawthaung. Please be advised that agents or passengers are required to obtain all necessary visas for the county to be visited.
For Myanmar and Thailand a valid passport for six months is required. You will obtain 28 days valid tourist visa to enter Myanmar. We recommend that you contact your local Myanmar Embassy for the most up to date information on visa and passport requires. Combinations as enter Myanmar in Yangon and leave in Kawthaung are possible but need a special permit; please inform us immediately if you plan to do so.

Cruise Boat Facilities
Our adventure cruise boat has no cabins on board. We provide secure lockers which are located on the lower deck, for personal belongings storage. The boat was built as 5 open-air gazebos which can be transformed into double beds with curtains etc for the night time.
There are 2 gazebos on the upper deck and 3 gazebos on the main deck and all booking requests are always handled by the first received first served basis.The boat is just a simple and not a luxury boat. There is neither air-con nor fan onboard. There are 2 bathrooms (showers only) with toilets on the main deck and all the guests have to be shared it.
Note: Archipelago zone fee 150-250usd will be collected in Kawthaung by Myanmar official prior to starting cruise. This fee is subject to fluctuations and is not included in our tour costing.
