Join us on fully escorted Myanmar Cycling tour to the most iconic destinations. Explore the quaint heritage buildings and old quarter of Yangon the capital of British Burma. Travel north to Mandalay, the cradle of Burmese culture and last kingdom of Myanmar. From Mandalay you will cycle to ancient royal capitals near Mandalay that were built by the Ayeyarwaddy River.

The journey continues to rural Shan State, the bread basket of Myanmar and also often called the Tuscany of Myanmar. You will cycle to Inle Lake a beautiful oasis between mountain ranges inhabited by minority peoples. Be charmed by villages built on stilts over the lake, floating farms and wine yards.

You will also have the opportunity to explore Pindaya Caves and Popa mountain where local spirit believers make pilgrimage to worship the 37 nat spirits.

No Myanmar trip is complete without a visit to the most magnificent archeological treasure Bagan. Over 3000 temples ruins connected by small sand lanes are perfect for bicycle trips.

This Myanmar cycling tour is recommended for adventurous travellers who are reasonably fit. The cycling distances and challenge will be adjusted to suit our guests fitness level and desired challenge.

Arrive to Yangon and meet your guide. After transfer to hotel and check-in your will take you to Yangon’s quaint old quarter for a walking tour. Walk through lively market streets to Indian and Chinese quarter making stops at some old landmark buildings.
This afternoon we hop on Yangon’s circular train for the local experience and finish the day with a visit to gold covered Shwedagon Pagoda rising high above the city on Singuttara hill.
If you fancy evening activity you can head to 19th street in China Town for some BBQ treats and beer. The little restaurants start filling up 6pm onwards.

Mandalay Myanmar



Morning flight to Mandalay. Today your Mandalay cycling tour will start with a ride to the old kingdom of Ava / Innwa. Visit old teakwood constructed monastery and some other highlights of the area. In Amarapura, another royal capital on our route to Mandalay you will visit the Ubein bridge before cycling to Mandalay city.

Mandalay Myanmar



In the morning cycle to one of Mandalay’s popular tea shops and join locals for a typical Myanmar breakfast. From here you will start the days Mandalay cycling tour. Your first stop is the lively Zegyo market where all sorts of goods are transported and traded. Next cycle to jade market of Mandalay where raw and processed jade are traded and most often shipped to China.

Continue to artisans quarter to see marble carver’s at work and visit the  most revered treasure of Mandalay, the Mahamuni buddha image, a war trophy brought from Mrauk U Kingdom.

Finish the day with a ride to Shwe Kyaung also known as the Golden Palace, the last remaining Mandalay Royal Palace building. If you did not get enough challenge yet you can ride up the Mandalay Hill for panoramic sunset views over the city.

Inle Lake Inn Thar

Flight to Heho in Shan state. Transfer to Aung Ban where we start the days cycling tour to Inle Lake. Today your cycling route is on small rural road travelling through small farmer villages in rolling landscape scenery. Lunch will be arranged along the route. As you will get closer to Inle Lake hills become mountains and then long downhill ride and great views will reward you. You will arrive to Inn Thein, a beautiful archeological site with hundreds of stupas situated next to bamboo forests and clear water river that runs to Inle Lake.
From here you will continue by boat to Inle Lake proper and may visit some sights on the lake depending on what time you will reach to Inn Thein. Then transfer to your hotel.

Ayethayar vineyard

This morning cycle along the shores of Inle Lake (approx. 10km) passing though small farming communities. If lucky you might see some sugarcane plantations, harvesting and cane juice extracting. Near Main Thauk village visit the Red Mountain Estate to tour of the lush vineyard situated on the side of mountain, and sample some of Myanmar’s premiere wines, and observe the different aging methods completed in their cellar cave. Continue cycling along the eastern shore of the lake to Thale Oo and Nampan villages. Your boat driver will be ready to take for a leisurely boat excursion on the Inle Lake. Delight in the picturesque sights of fishermen who balance and row with one leg, a technique indigenous to the Inn Thar minority group who do this only on Inle Lake. Visit boat builders work shop and see how Myanmar cigars “cheroots” are rolled.
You can alternatively keep this as rest day and just do sightseeing by boat all day.

Pindaya from Hot Air Balloon

After breakfast transfer to Heho where you will start the days cycling tour to Pindaya. The route follows a narrow single track country side road that travels through the Tuscany of Myanmar landscape. This region is particulary beautiful in October and November when colouful crops dye the rolling hills in colours. Near Pindaya you will see orchards by the villages and rising limestone mountain range which is the backdrop for Pindaya and housing the Pindaya Cave where you will visit this late afternoon.

Bagan Myanmar



Flight to Bagan. Your cycling tour in Bagan starts with visits to some of the most famous temples. Bagan is the perfect destination for cycling tours. Small tracks too narrow for cars connect temples and areas and lead to local villages and neighborhoods. Your will tell you the legends and history of Bagan, and show his own favourites and perfect photo spots.

Mount Popa

Cycle out east from Bagan to Popa. This is very flat 50km ride through farming lands and palm trees lined road. We make a stop at Toddy collectors hut and observe the process of making the rich and caramel-like toddy candies from the sap of the toddy palm. Box lunch will be served during this break. Then continue to Mount Popa, the Burmese spiritual epicenter for those who worship the pantheon of nat spirits and martyrs. After paying respects to the Nat shrine at the foot of Mount Popa, we climb nearly 800 steps to the pagoda perched at the top of the mountain to admire the views of the surrounding plains and farm lands. Last part of our cycling journey is uphill ride to Mt Popa Resort offering fantastic views over the Popa Mountain and surrounding farm lands. This is perfect place for refreshments before transfer back to Bagan.

Yangon Myanmar

Early breakfast and transfer to Bagan airport by car/ coach for your morning flight to Yangon.  Rest of the day in Yangon is free for shopping and relaxing. If you missed sightseeing on arrival day due to late flight arrival you can visit Yangon highlights on this day. Farewell dinner in one of the best restaurants in Yangon.
