DAY 2: YANGON GOLF

Gear up for your first round of golf in Myanmar. We will transfer you to the Yangon golf club, located within Yangon city limits. Enjoy playing 18 holes on this charming course wich was built in 1909 with its water lined fairways and finely manicured greens.

After your game witness the particular beauty of the holy Shwedagon during sunset, as the golden stupa reflects the changing colors of twilight.

DAY 4: BAGAN GOLF

Today you are set for a round of golf at the Bagan golf club. Teeing- off amidst century old stupas and pagodas makes playing this unique course almost a spiritual experience.

DAY 5: BAGAN – INNWA (AVA) – SAGAING – UBEIN BRIDGE SUNSET

On your arrival head out to Ava, an ancient capital of Myanmar and host to the leaning tower of Ava, Nyamyint Watch Tower and the remnants of the ancient palace.

Venture on to cross the bridge over Irrawaddy River into Sagaing where you’ll find hundreds of ivory pagodas and monasteries. To finish off the day enjoy sunset at U Bein, the famous teak-wood bridge.

DAY 6: MANDALAY GOLF

Swing your clubs today at Yay Tagon Taung golf club. With hills dotted with Temples and Wats as a backdrop this serene course promises a fine golfing experience. If you decide to tee-off early in the morning you might get to see wild monkeys roaming the course.

DAY 7: BAGAN – HEHO – INLE LAKE

Today we will explore Inle Lake by boat. Marvel at leg rowing fishermen balancing on 1 foot on small canoes. Our boat excursion will take us to Inn Thar minority villages built on stilts, floating gardens, and some cottage industry workshops where local crafts are produced. We will make a stop at Burmese cats’ house to meet some friendly and curious felines.

DAY 8: INLE LAKE

Head up to Aye Thar Yar golf resort, that is located at the foot of Taunggyi Hill. The undulating fairways are lined with pine trees that gives the club a Mediterranean feel.

DAY 9: INLE LAKE – YANGON

On your return by flight to Yangon you will play your final round of golf in Myanmar on the Pun Hlaing golf course. This 18-hole championship golf course was designed by Gary Player and is carved out of the beautiful surrounding in between the Hlaing and Pun Rivers.

DAY 10: YANGON – END OF PROGRAM

Enjoy your time at leisure for shopping or strolling the colonial quarters of Yangon until your transfer to the airport.

PUN HLAING GOLF CLUB (Yangon)

Touted as the ‘Best Golf Course in Myanmar’ and ‘The Pride of Myanmar’, this Gary Player-designed Par-72 7, 102-yard course is the latest addition to the golf scene in the country. Opened since 2000, it’s just 15-minute drive from the Yangon Airport and is carved out of the beautiful surrounding in between the Hlaing and Pun Rivers, and hence the name.

Not only does it offer a nice view of downtown Yangon, this golf course boasts of facilities of a very high standard. With well manicured greens and menacing bunkers, fairways snuggling the meandering waters off the two rivers, it also has the vantage point of viewing a beautiful sunset, if all else about the game must fail.

YANGON GOLF CLUB (Yangon)

The Yangon Golf Club is a mature, second oldest (Some say it’s the oldest) club in Myanmar. It was established in 1909 by the British at the present site, and has been continually re-newed over time.

It is a museum piece to be played all year round. No one remembers who designed and/or built this richly tree-lined and undulating course, that regularly stages Asian PGA Tours these days.

YAY TAGON GOLF CLUB (Mandalay)

The Yay Tagon Taung Golf Resort is located at the foot of a marvelous hilly area, just 30 minutes from Mandalay City Center. The hills act as serene backdrops, dotted with temples and pagodas and cater a truly exotic golfing experience.

The lush tree-lined fairways and greens are well maintained and the course provides a challenge for high and low handicap golfers. As a local insight we recommend a tee time early in the morning as then wild monkeys can be seen roaming around hole number 14.

Aye Thar Yar Golf Resort (near Inle Lake)

The Aye Thar Yar Golf Resort is located at the foot of Taunggyi Hill, just 30 minutes from Heho airport and another 30 minutes to Inle Lake. The undulating fairways are lined with pine trees that gives the club a mediteranean feeling.

Due to the altitude of 1’000 meters above sea srcfcflevel, the ambience is always green and fresh and even in summer months one can enjoy cooler rounds than anywhere else in the country.

BAGAN GOLF RESORT (Bagan)

With good weather most of the year around (read that as hot), the course is playable at all times. Established in the old city, the course is very scenic and really an oasis surrounded by world famous Temples and the ancient Pagodas of Bagan and the Ayeyarwaddy River stretching out beyond.

The layout features most holes with a bunker or two but it is quite easy to get a good score here and feel good about your play after completing your round. The course features a 50 room Hotel and 4 private bungalows designed in traditional style of ancient Burmese architecture with a swimming pool, fitness centre, sunset terrace and panoramic views that is worth taking in after your round.
