Bago

Bago, formerly Pegu, is a city and the capital of Bago Region in Myanmar (Burma). It is located 50 miles (80 km) north-east of Yangon. According to legend, two Mon princesses from Thaton founded Bago in 573 CE. It was written in the chronicles that eight years after enlightenment, Lord Buddha along with his disciples flew around the Southeast Asian countries.

Dawei, Southern Myanmar

Dawei is a sleepy tropical town and one of the gateways to the pristine archipelago of Southern Myanmar. Dawei and the surrounding areas are still very much undiscovered by foreign tourists.

Golden Rock ( Kyaikhtiyo )

Discover one of Myanmar’s holiest pilgrimage sites, the Golden Rock (Kyaikthiyo), a boulder shrine covered in gold leaf that delicately, miraculously balances at the edge of a cliff. No other natural wonder like it exists in the world.

Hpa An, Southern Myanmar

Is the capital town of Kayin state (1.6mil inhabitants). The Kayins are Christian and Buddhist. Hpa An town is situated by a river. Although Hpa An town does not have many attractions it is a good base for excursions to surrounding limestone karst mountain region.

Kawthaung (Victoria Point)

Is in the southernmost part of Myanmar, located in Tanintharyi Region. During British rule in Burma between 1824 and 1948, it was known as Victoria Point. Rakhine and Tanintharyi were transferred to British rule after the first Anglo-Burmese War of 1823-1826.

Mawlamyine (Moulmein)

Also spelled Mawlamyaing; formerly Moulmein, is the fourth largest city of Myanmar, situated 300 km south east of Yangon and 70 km south of Thaton, at the mouth of Thanlwin (Salween) river. The city of 325,927 is the capital and largest city of Mon State, Myanmar and is the main trading center and seaport in southeastern Burma.

Myeik

Also known by its old name Mergui is still a bustling port town situated on a peninsula in Tanintharyi division, Southern most state in Myanmar. It is a hub for fishing boats, pearl cultivation and rubber growing and has large naval base.

Myeik - Mergui Archipelago

Mergui Archipelago, located in southernmost part of Myanmar (Burma), comprises over 800 beautiful islands. Due to its virtual isolation, the island and surrounding seas are alive with an amazing diversity of flora & fauna and very beautiful underwater scenes and marine life.

Yangon, Southern Myanmar

Yangon, or Rangoon, has gone through a few transitions: previously as the capital city of Myanmar, and now as the commercial capital of the country. This cosmopolitan city is the home to different races and religions as extensive as those throughout the country.
