Although Myanmar is opening-up many things here are still highly restricted. Commercial filming and photoshoots require permits on either local or national level or both.
It may seem easy to just go and shoot at locations but there are many local village level bureaucrats left as legacy of decades lasted military run administration.
Not having right permits may risk of loosing your footage, having your equipment confiscated and in worst case can result in legal action and imprisonment. Sad example of this was in 2017 Turkish media hired crew flying a drone in Naypyitaw without official permission.

We can do recce with you or if you wish to save travel budget and time Discovery DMC team can survey locations, route details and send you a report with photographs.
We will then give you as accurate costing estimate as possible. After agreed on services you would like us to arrange and signed contract for the job our dedicated project manager and team will work intensively to arrange all necessary permits with respective ministries, authorities and communities as well as prepare other arrangements.
We can help you with importing equipment, booking venues, travel arrangements – air, water, land, manpower and subjects needed, power generation, translation, first aid personnel etc.
Myanmar is not one of the cheapest countries for photoshoots and filming.
To obtain filming permits we are required to submit translated documents to Ministry of Motion Picture Enterprise Department (MMPE).
Expect cost of 5000usd for the initial filming permit and approximately additional 2000usd for each location.
It is possible to arrange helicopters, private flights, private boats and yachts, venues etc to suit your purpose and to meet your requirements.
