You ride to Chinatown, through busy streets and alleys to see the nightlife of locals and enjoy street food and cold drinks, in places where you are likely not to see other foreigners. You then drive to a hidden Vietnamese-style coffee shop to have a taste of Vietnamese music (live) as a local and finish your interesting adventure at a lively bar.

Leaving the hustle and bustle of the city behind, you head for the rustic countryside around the Mekong Delta. Upon arrival, board the private ‘Song Xanh’, a small but luxurious boat that allows you to discover the narrow canals and tributaries with ease.

Lunch is at the home of Mr. Huynh Thuy Le, “The lover” of Marguerite Duras famous novel.
Back on board and cruise down to Can Tho along a beautiful narrow canal, pass under wooden “monkey bridges” and tiny typical villages. Some stops on the banks give you the chance to communicate with the locals.
A candlelight dinner in an ancient house dating from the early 19th century is ready for you. Back to the sampan and continue our route to Can Tho. You will moor for the night in a quiet place. Your bed will be ready for your night on the Mekong River.
Overnight aboard the Song Xanh Boat
This morning, the Song Xanh takes you to Cai Rang Floating Market, cruising amongst rice barges, wooden ship-building yards and locals drying fruits and vegetables on the Mekong’s banks.
You will take slow running for nice pictures and get a little bit closer to the locals as they go about their daily routine. Stop for a while and you can buy some fruit or contact with local people.
