Upon arrival at Kota Kinabalu Airport, we will meet you and transfer you to your hotel in town.
Most hotels are located in the heart of the city, a mere 15 minutes’ drive from Kota Kinabalu International Airport, and right next to the hippest lifestyle mall in town. The ideal location makes the hotel the perfect retreat for those wishing to explore the area’s eclectic shopping, dining, and tourist attractions.

Make your own way to Jesselton Jetty 5 minuttes from yur hotel. Enjoy a day at a quiet and private beach away from the normally very busy islands around Kota Kinabalu. You will check in at Bunga Raya Island Resort’s Lounge at Jesselton Jetty, before you transfer by boat to Gaya Island for a relaxing island trip in a secluded area in the Island, with a private beach, owned by the 5-Star island resort, Bunga Raya Island Resort and Spa. Enjoy snorkeling or kayaking, or simply spend the day under the sun relaxing. At 1600hrs, we will return to Jesselton Jetty where you will find your way back to your hotel.

Today, we will transfer you to Kota Kinabalu Airport to catch the departure flight to Sandakan. Upon arrival at Sandakan, we will meet and transfer you to your overnight accommodation at Sepilok Nature Resort.

You will be picked up from Sepilok Nature Resort in the morning for a visit to the Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre. Watch a short video documentary of the rehabilitation activities before taking a boardwalk through the lowland rainforest to witness the feeding of the Orang Utan at 1000hrs.

We will board our speedboat for the journey to Abai, Kinabatangan. On the 1.5 hours cruise, Berhala Island, the prominent sandstone cliffs of World War II historical site, can be photographed from the boat. The boat journey continues towards the mangroves and villages of Abai. After check-in and afternoon refreshment, we take our first river cruise along the Kinabatangan River in search of some of the 10 primate species.
After dinner, we will take a night stroll along the boardwalks on a lookout for nocturnal animals and interesting insects. Overnight at Kinabatangan Wetlands Resort deluxe chalet.

At approximately 0600hrs, we will embark for our morning cruise to the nearby oxbow lake, Danau Pitas, to explore the area. Enjoy your packed breakfast while admiring the natural surroundings. We continue to visit the local fishing village, Kampung Abai. Interact with local Orang sungai from river people and observe the daily activities in this tiny fishing village. We will have another after cruise along the river and after dinner our quest for wildlife continues with a night cruise. Overnight at Kinabatangan Wetlands Resort deluxe chalet.

After breakfast, return to Sandakan by boat journey. Proceed to Sandakan Airport to take your flight to Kota Kinabalu. Upon arrival, we will meet and transfer you to Shangri-La’s Rasa Ria Resort for overnight accommodation.
