Warm welcome to Kuching! We will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel in town near beautiful Sarawak River. Rest of the day is free for a stroll to explore Kuching’s vibrant street life, restaurants, bars and cafes.

Start your day with Kuching City tour. This tour will give you an introduction to Kuching – a charming, green and airy city offers a mix of well-preserved British Colonial Buildings and graceful modern architecture. Guided tour to Chinese Temple, Colonial Centre and the Sarawak Museum. Rest of the day is free for exploring the town at your own pace or for relaxing by the pool.

Today we embark on a 4 hours drive through scenic countryside, rainforest, pepper and rubber plantations. We make a stop at Serian, small town with excellent farmers market and pepper plantation. After lunch we continue the drive to Batang Ai hydropower dam followed by 20min boat ride across a reservoir lake to Aiman Batang Ai Longhouse Resort.

After breakfast, embark on a native longboat for a day of exploring the Ulu Ai River and its Iban Longhouse communities. Take part in the welcoming ceremony of native dance, music and gong. Try your hands on the blowpipe and taste the locally brewed rice wine. A bamboo picnic lunch will be arranged by the river bank. Return to the resort in the afternoon.

After breakfast transfer by ferry to Batang Ai Terminal for your return journey to Kuching. Lunch will be provided at Ranchan Waterfall Restaurant. Arrive to Kuching in the late afternoon.

Pick up from your hotel in Kuching and transfer to Kuching Airport to catch the flight to Mulu. Upon arrival at the Mulu Airport, you will be met and transferred to your accommodation at Mulu Marriott Resort. In the afternoon, trek for 3km on a plank walk to Deer Cave and Lang Cave. Late evening, witness the exodus of hundreds of thousands of bats at the observatory before we return.

After breakfast, proceed by longboat to Batu Bungan, a Penan Settlement for a visit. Continue the boat journey to Wind cave and Clearwater Cave. Enjoy picnic lunch and swimming at the Clearwater spring before returning to Mulu for overnight.

Departure from Mulu and flight to Sandakan. Pick up from the airport and transfer to Four Points by Sheraton in the middle of town.

Pick up in the morning from your hotel. Transfer to the Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre. Watch a short video documentary of the rehabilitation activities before taking a boardwalk through rainforest to witness daily feeding of the Orang Utan at 10:00hrs. After that we proceed to the Sun Bear Conservation Centre.

After lunch, we head to the Sandakan jetty and embark on 2½ hours speedboat boat journey up the Kinabatangan River to award winning Sukau Rainforest Lodge. Don’t worry as the ride is not choppy and it won’t be just boat ride as there will be opportunities along the way to view wildlife and birds, and if you’re lucky, even the shy Bornean Pygmy Elephants. Take a few moments to savor afternoon tea at the resort before we head out into the wild on your first river safari. Every boat is equipped with eco friendly outboard engines (used along the main river where the current is strong) and electric motor (used during wildlife viewing in the small tributaries) in search of wildlife and birds. Take loads of photographs as the wildlife extravaganza puts on a show. Return for a solar heated hot shower after sunset before enjoying a candle light buffet dinner overlooking the mighty river. Dinner is followed by a slide show and interpretation by our in-house naturalist guide. Overnight stay at Sukau Rainforest Lodge, which in 2015 was awarded by National Geographic to be one of the most Unique Lodges in the World.

Wake up to the calls of gibbons and hornbills and hot Sabah tea. At 06:00 hrs morning river cruise up the Kinabatangan River to Kelenanap Oxbow Lake to view more birds and wildlife. After breakfast, proceed for an educational tour on the our own in-house Hornbill Boardwalk located behind the lodge with our in-house naturalist. In the afternoon, we proceed for another river cruise for more wildlife. Overnight at Sukau Rainforest Lodge.

Today, your journey begins with an overland transfer to Lahad Datu. After lunch, you will go on a 70 kilometer journey on gravel road to Danum Valley. The area covers a sprawling 438-square kilometer undisturbed area of lowland dipterocarp rainforest in Sabah.

Have your first introduction of the forest in the afternoon through “Nature Trails” and the 300m tree top “Canopy Walkway” for a close-up observation of the rainforest. Danum Valley is home to many species of Borneo’s unique lowland fauna such as the Clouded Leopards, Sumatran Rhinoceros, Pygmy Elephants and Orang Utans. After dinner, proceed for a night drive in an open-top vehicle in search of nocturnal animals. Overnight at Borneo Rainforest Lodge.

Spend the whole day exploring the rainforest for more chances of spotting birds and mammals. Trek to the ancient Kadazandusun burial site aka “Coffin Cliff” before continue trekking to the “view point” for a bird’s eye view of the valley. Take your time to catch your breath and relax before descending the hill to the “Jacuzzi Pool” for a refreshing dip in rock pools. Return to the lodge for lunch. Another jungle trekking in the afternoon or you can opt to go ‘tubing’ down the Danum River. A night walk after dinner for more wildlife watching experience. Overnight at Borneo Rainforest Lodge.

Relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Snorkel, dive, kayak, jungle trekking or just simply relax at the pool or sea. It’s up to you!
