DAY 1 :  LUANG PRABANG

Sabaidee! Welcome to Luang Prabang, Laos. You are greeted by your guide and driver at the airport for your transfer to the hotel. The Night Market here is a great place for wandering, offering a lovely variety of handmade textiles crafted by local and hill-tribe people, along with street food, knick-knacks, and friendly banter.

DAY 2 :  LUANG PRABANG

Today you visit the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun, a peaceful temple featuring the much-photographed Watermelon Stupa; Wat Aham, the site of Luang Prabang’s most important spirit shrine; Wat Xieng Thong, Luang Prabang’s largest and most splendid temple, is best known for its impressive Tree of Life mural depicting the Buddhist story.The exploration of Luang Prabang would be not complete with a visit to the National Museum. Housed in the former Royal Palace, uninhabited since the royal family was deposed in 1975, the museum showcases many treasures of Laos’ royal past and allows visitors to glimpse the private and public quarters of Lao royalty. Also displayed here is the Prabang, the sacred Buddha image for which Luang Prabang was named. Step up Mount Phousi, it cuts a distinctive figure in the center of Luang Prabang skyline. The hill, with spectacular 360-degree views, is popular as a place to watch the sunrise or set. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

DAY 3 :  LUANG PRABANG

Option: Early wake-up call possible to join the locals giving food to hundreds of Buddhist monks returning from morning prayers. Take a stroll through the morning market and take part in this everyday ritual. Breakfast at the hotel or join the locals for a bowl of delicious noodle soup after the alms giving ritual. From Luang Prabang, you head out to Wat Phon Phao, a center well known for Vipassana meditation and will practice there with an expert monk the way to eliminate the suffering.

DAY 4 : LUANG PRABANG

Free day at your leisure. Enjoy the laid back atmosphere of Luang Prabang and discover the city or head out to one of the waterfalls to spend a relaxed day. Overnight in Luang Prabang

DAY 5 : ​VIENTIANE

A short drive out of Luang Prabang will take you to Khuang Si Waterfall, the multilayer falls drop several hundred feet into a series of pools. You can climb up and view the falls from above. Bring a swimsuit if you’d like to swim. You then transfer you to the airport for your flight to Vientiane. Overnight in Vientiane

DAY 6 :  VIENTIANE

After breakfast, you drive to the outskirts of the city to visit Buddha Park, an enchanting collection of Buddhist and Hindu sculptures scattered in a meadow along the Mekong River near the Friendship Bridge. The approximately 200 religious images here were created by a mysterious monk spreading his philosophy on life and revealing his ideas about the universe. The park’s signature piece is a large but very flat reclining Buddha. Afternoon visit to the city’s oldest temple, Wat Sisaket. Dating back to 1818, Sisaket is the most important heritage temple in terms of philology, epigraphy, iconography, historiography, and architecture now standing in Laos. Thousand of Buddha images from many countries, long lost architectural styles, sculptures and paintings are all found at this temple. En route to Lao’s national icon, That Luang stupa, stop at the Patuxay Monument, known as Vientiane’s own Arc de Triumph. Then head to the riverside for a sundowner drink overlooking the Mekong River.

DAY 7 :  VIENTIANE

Free day at your leisure. Take a stroll along the Mekong, discover the old town center or just relax at the pool. Overnight in Vientiane

DAY 8 : DON KHON ISLAND                                                                    

After an early breakfast, you will transfer to Wattay airport for your flight to Pakse, the provincial capital of Champasak where the Mekong and Sedon rivers meet. Continue your visit to Wat Phu, you will travel by road to the religious complex of Wat Phu. Located at the foot of a hill, Wat Phu reflects the Hindu culture of the pre-Buddhist Khmer society that constructed it. Transfer to Khong Island, part of the 4,000 Islands region. Here the Mekong can get up to 14km wide during the rainy season and it is dotted with thousands of islands varying in size.

DAY 9 :  DON KHON ISLAND

Head out to the breathtaking Khone Phapheng Waterfall, Southeast Asia’s biggest waterfall and is known as the Niagara of the East. Continue to Khone Island and its highlights. Start with island’s colonial buildings and the remnants of the first Lao railway with its locomotive. Visit the marvelous Liphi Waterfall. Also called “Devil’s Corridor”, it is one of the most beautiful waterfalls marking the Lao border with Cambodia. You also have time for relaxing and swimming at the beach in Liphi Waterfall Complex.

DAY 10 : CHAMPASAK

After breakfast, back to Pakse and spend the rest of the day at your own leisure. Overnight in Pakse

DAY 11 :  END OF ITINERARY

Say goodbye to Pakse and transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
