Chau Doc is located in Vietnam’s An Giang Province, near the Cambodian border, making it easily accessible by road or river. From Ho Chi Minh City, the journey takes approximately 6–7 hours by bus or private car, passing through scenic Mekong Delta landscapes. Many travelers also arrive by speedboat from Phnom Penh, Cambodia, offering a unique cross-border river journey. Regular buses and minibuses connect Chau Doc with other delta towns such as Can Tho and Long Xuyen.

Chau Doc is a compact town, and many attractions can be explored on foot or by bicycle for a relaxed, immersive experience.
