The first Hilton Hotel in Myanmar has been opened at the National Guesthouse Compound in Naypyitaw, the administrative capital of the country. The property is the first of five that the Hilton Hotels and Resorts group plans to manage in Myanmar in partnership with Eden Group a Myanmar based business conglomerate. The hotel is located on over 100 acres of land surrounded by tropical gardens and features 201 guest rooms, an outdoor pool, fitness center, a luxury spa, a tennis court, and a jogging path. The hotel restaurant serves Asian specialties and international favorites, the pool bar offers superb views and a place to unwind and the hotel lounge offers a comfortable setting for afternoon coffee.
The Hilton Hotel group and its local partner plan to open four more properties in the country within the next few years, including Bagan, Inle, Mandalay and Ngapali. The Hilton Ngapali Beach Resort is expected to open before the years end.
