Over 10 years and counting – Le Planteur has been leader when it comes to culinary treats and French & Indochinese fine dining experiences.
The restaurant has moved to a new swanky address by the Inya Lake in Yangon and continues to impress. Completely redesigned and luxuriously decorated lake side villa has been turned into charming dining and drinks venues.
Inside the main building different themed private rooms and wine cellar / cave are available for private dinner functions and tastings. The decor is somewhat decadent and has oriental and Myanmar feel.
Latest add on and authors favourite is the wine tasting machine. Enjoy some rare and hand picked wines tasting from the selection using wine card in the machine. You can choose the measurement to suit your wallet better…. when it comes to sampling more rare and expensive wines.
There is a cigar lounge nearby for those who like to puff away cigars and fine cognac and whiskey are available for different tastes.
The outdoor dining venues of Le Planteur include roof top tables with nice views over the garden. There is large green area in the garden by the lake with lounge sofa sets as well as dining tables. If you look carefully you might notice some bunny rabbits and geese roaming free.
For groups and special dinners cultural and other performance and facilities can be arranged in the garden.
Nice way to end your amazing dinner is to catch a ride back to your hotel with antique car of the restaurant.
