Loikaw region is known for the padaung / long neck karen villages, beautiful limestone karst mountain scenery and recently opened limestone cave. Loikaw is accessible from Inle Lake by boat and overland from Heho and Kalaw. Myanma Airways and recently started Mann Yadanabon Airline have introduced several weekly flights between Yangon and Loikaw.
Loikaw’s second tourist class hotel is currently under construction and is expected to open before November 2014.
