New Myanmar trekking tours in Shan state have been developed by international aid partners and local communities in Danu Self-Administered Zone (SAZ) in Shan State there are altogether 20 routes in the areas of Kalaw, Pindaya and Ywagan which is the latest area for easy access trekking tours in Myanmar.
The Danu Trails management and promotion is done jointly with local communities with the aim to ensure that local Danu people benefit from the emerging tourism potential and while natural and cultural heritage is celebrated and preserved.
Local trekking guides have been trained to lead the treks that travel from Pindaya and to Ywagan through breath-taking landscapes, villages, farm plantations as well as cultural heritage sites.. such as a small-scale tea factory, Buddhist monasteries, and a farm house providing traditional Danu meals.
