MALAPASCUAO GALERA Travel Guide
Where the ocean whispers secrets of thresher sharks and sunsets paint the sky in gold — Malapascua is the Philippines’ hidden gem for those who seek beauty beneath and beyond the waves.
Getting to Malapascua involves a scenic journey from Cebu City. Start by taking a 3.5 to 4-hour drive north to the port town of Maya in Daanbantayan. From the Maya Port, local boats (bancas) operate regular 30–45 minute trips to Malapascua Island. Private speedboat transfers are also available for a more exclusive and time-efficient option. Cebu City itself is well-connected with daily domestic and international flights, making access to the island relatively smooth.
