FMI Air has announced to start daily flights from Yangon to Mawlamyine on 1 October. This will be exciting new routing that will cut travel time from 6hrs driving to just 30min by.
The route has been currently served only by MNA with one flight per week.
Mann Yadanarbon Airline had announced in 2014 to start flight from Yangon to Mawlamyine but did not resume the service.
Nok Air experimented flights Mawlamyine to Mae Sot for a short period in 2014 but due to lack of travelers discontinued flights.
